ShUT Inc. Final General Meeting Monday 19 March 2012 commencing at 7.30 p.m
As you may be aware, the development application DA09/2077 to establish a waste facility at the Tomerong Quarry site was defeated in October 2010, much to the delight of ShUT members. The proponent has also failed to lodge an appeal and the time frame to do so has now elapsed. Therefore, it has been deemed that ShUT Campaign Incorporated now serves no useful purpose and it is intended to request deregistration of the association.

If you know of others who may be interested in becoming involved with the planning of this event, please feel free to forward this email on.
To help commemorate the event the P&C are creating an art/recipe book and are inviting members of the community to submit their favourite recipes. If you would like to participate, please forward your recipes to tpsrecipes@hotmail.com or deliver a copy to the school office. Recipe forms can also be obtained from the Tomerong Post Office. You are able to email up to four items per person. Please include your recipe name, your family name, Ingredients, method/directions and other notes that may include where the recipe came from, favourite memories of the meal, variations, hints etc. Submissions are open until Wednesday 29 February, so time is now running out. If you would like to see you family recipe included in this publication – please act now.
As part of the celebrations the P&C are also selling commemorative pavers, so if you would like your name to go down in history, here’s your chance! You can purchase one, or more of these great pavers. They will become a permanent part of the school’s history, being laid in the schools grounds. You can choose either a standard paver with your name, or add your personal touch to a hand drawn paver. Paver order forms have been attached to this email. If you know of any others who would be interested in purchasing a paver or two, please forward the order form on.

Shoalhaven City Council releases its long term plan for public comment.
07/2011. Shoalhaven City Council's mid July 2011 release of its final draft 'Local Area Plan' (LEP) for public comment. This is the 25 year planning blueprint for the Shoalhaven. This plan will bring the Shoalhaven in to line with the NSW zoning standard. It also shows new areas for future residential development to help cope with the forecast future influx of residents. Some disagreement has emerged in the area of allowable building heights being worded too loosely, possibly allowing ambiguous interpretation. This is your chance to check that your land is zoned appropriately. Info is available at Shoalhaven libraries and via the the Shoalhaven City Council's website. The planners invite feedback! Locals have 13 weeks from release date to view & comment on the Plan.
